Peace in the Middle East is actually possible. Here are some thoughts that are not very common amongst acedemics. First I would like to address a concern of mine. Number one the average age of a Palestinian is 23 years old. Very young population, very quick to turn violent with the male sector at that age. Many populations and societies have always wondered what to do with their adult adolecent males. Military service mandatory has at times done well in many countries, but it is not right for the Palestine area of Jordan. What then? Soccer Fields 12 abrest for tournaments throughout region, some professional soccer coaches and infrastructure and foreign investment and a stable currency. Perhaps a contract to build homes and employ people along the lines of volunteerism to build projects liek the ones in El Paso where the helpers eventually earn a home of their own. The religion needs to be practiced correctly or not at all. DeSalination plants need to be set up there and roads too. Some investment with tight fisted controls would alleviate the problems of those young males who are quick to draw and stop the crazy bus bombings. It might also give them something to live for, namely sports and soccer. This might be what is needed to slow the recruitment process and give them something to work for and live for. Just a thought. The solution is more than just a treaty with words on a piece of paper. The solution must solve the problems and treat the illness not just the conditions. Does tha make sense. If you have nothing to live for, you have nothing to fear when you fight. Those who have promising futures seldom join gangs. http://www.LanceWinslow.org
