Well new technology will allow the NSA's old system of recording and or hiring thousands to listen to our phone calls on the cellular and land based phones more data and reliable faster. The system will now take voice from conversations and put it into perfect text. This is good and bad. Bad if you are concerned about your freedoms and good because it catches terrorists. Also such technology means you voice mail can type out later a message and email it to you on a PDA Wireless if it was called at your home. It is good fro CYA, documentation and any legal ramifications later to prove what was said. Pretty cool technology. http://epistolary.org/1856.html ----- http://www.eff.org/Privacy/TIA/ ----- https://www.cato.org/dailys/12-07-02.html ----- http://www.darpa.mil/iao/iaotia2.pdf ----- http://www.heritage.org/Research/HomelandDefense/wm175.cfm ------- http://www.iwar.org.uk/news-archive/tia/total-information-awareness.htm ------ Now you ask why a guy who washes cars is so interested in this technology? Well it works both ways you see. It catches terrorists and it helps us service customers. Okay let me explain, and stay with me on this. Now if a person calls a dispatch numer which is a recorded message, then the person is asked to say the name of the city, just like 1-800 411 service by ikatomi or whater it is. Then the message is relayed to our franchisees trucks via PDA wirless devise, the message appears and puts itself on a schedule for the data and time asked for by the calling customer. And you have a complete record of the call, special requests, extra notations, etc. WOW, realtime in advance data. you like it? So do we, great technology soon to be in the public domain in no less than 2-3 years I bet. That one is worth waiting for. Even better this innovation used by homeland security is working on accents, foreign languages etc. In other words our customer will be translated from their language into what ever language we are using. Think of it, Bill Gates, IBM Voice Type, DragonTalk all leaders in this innovation of voice to text, but now the funding for homeland defense will deliuver this technology to simplify our lives, create a higher standard of living, more efficient business service models, less error to customer requests, cost savings passed onto to the consumer and still it protects the American People. Pretty excellent I say. http://www.carwashguys.com Not all technology is bad and we need to stop jumping to conclusions. The military industrial complex which we are suppose to beware of has brought us satellite radio, TV, weather, GPS, Microwave ovens, nuclear energy, Jet airliners, cures for cancer, etc. etc. So before one goes and cries wolf on any of man's innovations, let us look at the future of such innovations, namely the great things that it will do for all humanity and the US in particular. Just a thought on the bright side before the conspiracy theorists tell us we are all going melt.
