Burlington Vermont Mobile Car Wash and Detailing Business Climate Observations and recommendations. There are a few car washes in Burlington which are actually well received by the population there. Burlington itself has a population of 38,800 on the last Census. It has good growth and good labor supply from the University of Vermont. We feel that a mobile service would do extremely well in the Summer time and could survive in the Winter Time as well by combining Boat Winterization Services and other types of services. The airport is busy and in the winter the kids need employment as the Snow Birds head for warmer areas. Here is the official web site for Burlington City: http://www.ci.burlington.vt.us/ ----- Vermont has a very decent Economic Development Association there and they work closely with the other adjacent cities; South Burlington, Williston, Shelburne, Colchester, Essex Center, Richmond and Jonesville Vermont. All in all the five county area draws in about 110,000. Vermont is least populated state, although many might say South Dakota or Wyoming is. Burlington has some business history too, for instance Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream, Ethan Allen, Burlington Coat Factory all Burlington Based. The state capital Montpelier, Vermont is only 35 miles away, but only has about 8,000 people in it, mostly lawyers, Yuk !!! Don’t expect us to run out to serve those people in the capital with our great services. Rutledge, Vermont would also be a great city for a mobile car wash and truck washing business. We enjoyed the town. There are several other good cities in Vermont for the car wash business, however they should be combined to make it worth a year round business. Many towns we feel should be handled half year by snow birds who service the clientele in Spring and Summer, part of Fall and then leave for FL in the Winter.
