Durg Problems in New England States include Heroin. Ouch, where is it coming from? Well Heroin is made from poppies. This might explain it a little. The country Afghanistan http://www.usdoj.gov/dea/pubs/intel/02043/02043.html is a big exporter of this stuff, so is Thialand, but South and Central America also. This is bad news folks. http://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/hero.html When it is hitting our East Coast Cities that is bad, but we are not alone and their are new players in the game of world trade, where guns, drugs, arms, money control power and wealth and whole countries citizens in the mix. Such is the nature of life on the surface of the Planet. Sounds like the movie Dune? A new entry into the manufacturing is coming from new areas of the world. Recent huge drug busts include Dublin, England, Asia, Sydney http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2003/07/16/1058035058327.html Now here in the US, Drug Problems in New England, lots of problems from Coastal and Rural Maine all the way through Rhode Island and CT. http://www.norwichbulletin.com/news/stories/20021110/opinion/340476.html http://www.mapinc.org/drugnews/v03/n920/a12.html?397 But is the message getting out? http://www.mediacampaign.org/publications/message/section3_2_2_2.html Heroin is a bad deal for a capitalistic society like ours weere we live and die on productivity, well at least our quality of life and middle class does. When it is availble to the next generation and they use it like any drug we are in for a terrible problem. Crystal Meth is a problem in nearly every Major Metro and nearly all desert cities in the West and most rural cities in the upper midwest. Pot is also a problem in those areas. It plays a terrible role in the job of finding competent labor. It is difficult for our company since we generally hire for the age groups who are mist likely to use. Madatory drug testing seems to be the only answer here. Have we failed Afghanistan in allowing them to plant the next crop? Yes and no, no in that this is where they export and make money. Yes in that it does not serve anyone to hurt or assist in adicting furture generations. It ruins life, in some countries rulers rule by use of allowing drugs in and make money on the drugs that come in. This is cruel but a reality of life. If there is less supply then the crime goes up along with the price since those on drugs cannot hold employment and must steal to get the money to trade for drugs or in many cases use their bodies in prostitution. Again a said fact of life and another good reason to live int he US. What is even worse is this drug is generally taken in most industrialized nations using needles and sharing needles is the second biggest spreader of AIDS. Not good considering the vast amount of dollars required to treat such a disease and even if the cure comes along we are probably going to see new strands introduced, which may or may not be cureable with the same solution, concoction, potion, drug regiment, antidote, vacination, vaccine, etc. And this issue is critical as AIDS is infecting our planet and killing people. The only way to fix this is to strengthen our Middle Class, Rural Areas here in the US and take that solution to the other corners of the Earth. We have ideas for securing the prosperity of all peoples of the world in all countries and economic conditions and we must be strong at home to fight evil abroad, We can have both and wea re well on our way of having it all. We cannot quit now and we must elleviate the escalation of these future and current problems as we work on strengthening America and our allies and trading partners now, then WE, all of us can fix the problems of mankind is such a way that they transend the current period. We need to clean the planet and the people. http://www.ewashguy.com and we need to start by proving concept amongst those closest to us. Your thought for today.
