The Brain, just a thought. People always ask one another are you right brained or left brained? Well this is interesting since we know that the cerebral cortex part of the brain is where the rational functions exist. It is divided into two sections connected by a thick band of nerve fibers or corpus callosum, which allows messages to flow between the two sections. Most of the brain wave research shows that both sides of the brain are involved in nearly everything we do. The leftside of the brain is the area of language and where logical information is processed and it does so in an orderly fashion.. The rightside is the visual side and processes intuitively, holistically and somewhat randomly. Most people seem to have a dominant side, HA, but not all people. Our dominance is kind of like a preference, but even that is not guaranteed. When learning is new, difficult, or stressful we PREFER to learn in a certain way. It seems most people default to their preference side. No one thought is entirely isolated on one side of the brain. You can obviously therefore train your brain to think anyway you want it to, unless you allow others to tell you how to learn and brain wash you into their way. What strategies for learning you use can actually be entirely up to your own choosing, determine what works best for you. You can and must use and develop both sides of the brain, but if you rely on only memorization then you will cut short your abilities, just like if you only memorize by association you will miss other techniques, being unable to recall data is a sign of using your preference too much. 0ur preferences probably has more neural connections, learning may occur faster. So what I suggest is do not watch too much TV, try classical, rap, country and jazz. Alternating while reading a book of no interest to you. If you fail to use your brain you will face the same fate as so many Americans, you will become utterly helpless and stupid forever. That is good if you are my competition, bad if you are a customer or team member. Dumb people are just smart people who don't think. I think. Why do so many people do so many dumb things?
