These issues are very serious and nearly as serious as the instant oak death pathogens causing havoc in the old growth redwood trees near the CA and OR coastline areas. What do the weather charts say about this? This problem is serious because it is also happening in BC Canada and in Alaska. These resilent species are having a field day and eating trees alive and leaving them vulnerable by eating the bark. Minnesota is not taking any chances and we must look at the number of tree species this Beetle is willing to feast on. Quite a wide variety of diets.
