January 14, 2003: Robotic Arm welding machine: http://www.solutions2accelerate.com/robotics/pdf/VR_Scompi%20Liujiaxia%20China_final.pdf . These machines are building cars and could be the way to solve our problem of finding quality welders in AZ to make truck beds. It appears that the Hispanic workers who are working for our largest truck body vendor are really doing a poor job due to lack of experience where as someone from KY, WV, IA, ND, SD, WY, MT everyone can weld good and good welders are expert level, those coming from Mexico are just taking the job to have a job and really do not have the many years of experience that is needed to do the job right often doing a version of what I call blob welding and then when they come to grind down the weld to look good, they often grind it down and in the process take away the entire weld and then it fails. Robots can weld better than all but the best welders. Maybe we can get some robotic car washers to assist our team catch up on al the work also: http://www.parthe.net/_cwg1003/00000063.htm and http://www.parthe.net/_cwg1003/00000053.htm . Here is what is at issue: http://www.rgj.com/news/stories/html/2004/01/14/61557.php?sp1=rgj&sp2=News&sp3=Local+News&sp5=RGJ.com&sp6=news&sp7=local_news This is happening all over the country, as labor is either under qualified and experienced or just does not want to work. We have a problem in this country. It is lowest bidder wins, no body cares, price sells and even the issue I mention here were people who have nothing at stake, don’t even understand what they are doing as they try to gap an un-penetrate-able language barrier and we are trying to figure out how to deal with it. Meanwhile we will keep washing thee equipment for customers even if it is half falling apart: http://www.BusWashGuys.com -------------- ------- ------ ------ ------ ---- Making rail safer: http://www.safetran.com/ . We have talked a lot about the future of rail in the country and about safety. We have study many things and quite soon trains will be driving themselves. http://www.parthe.net/_cwg1202/00000003.htm and http://www.parthe.net/_cwg0803/00000083.htm and http://www.parthe.net/_cwg0503/00000088.htm and Apparently we will also see Pilot less trains soon enough; Pilot less Trains; http://albany.bizjournals.com/albany/stories/2003/09/01/smallb1.html --------------------- -------------------- ------------ America we have a problem, and that problem is freedom. Look at this article: http://www.cnn.com/2004/LAW/01/13/scotus.roadblocks.ap/index.html . We must be careful as we select categories of air travelers and threaten people with parking tickets with incarceration if they try to get on a plane. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=24761 . but does this not fail the privacy act? Well? http://www.cdt.org/pipermail/cdt-announcements/2003-February/000024.html and there is lots of talk out there: http://www.citizenonline.net/citizen/archive/article07FC97A48AE44594829DC4008C185E5E.asp and http://www.kxan.com/Global/story.asp?S=1598714&nav=0s3dKAEF . ------------------------ International Truck and Engine Corporation will deliver over 1,700 International 4000 series medium-duty trucks to the United States Postal Service. This is good news for the struggling sales of the company and hopefully this will put some of these workers back to work. The USPS has used International trucks for years and continues to keep buying from them. http://www.springfieldnewssun.com/news/newsfd/auto/feed/news/2004/01/12/1073967090.26609.0563.0756.html;COXnetJSessionID=AE8Mkzhrv5H7lQ7NzIdkBWUAglgYJRmgYfX1o1kdkDdM9X92m5x2!1907349105?urac=n&urvf=10740686841690.9757175914601621 ----------------------- Where is common sense? We cannot find Thomas Paine and then we read this in a local Obituary Section in Washington D.C.; Obituary Section; Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend by the name of Common Sense who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valued lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm and that life isn't always fair. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not kids, are in charge). His health began to rapidly deteriorate when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate, teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch, and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student only worsened his condition. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer aspirin to a student but could not inform the parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Finally, Common sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband, churches became businesses and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense finally gave up the ghost after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot, spilled a bit in her lap, and was awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust, his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by two stepbrothers; My Rights and Ima Whiner. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. ---- We thought we would report on this so that you will know he is gone forever. --------------------- Modern Technology in propulsion. Scram Jet tests; http://www.bizjournals.com/southflorida/stories/2004/01/12/daily24.html?f=et81 Will the Jet wash Guys soon be washing Private Space Craft? http://www.jetwashguys.com --------------------- Macon, GA goes after garage-gas station conversion detail/hand car washes for allowing storm drain pollution. http://www.carwash.com/news.asp?mode=4&N_ID=45362 . I can remember a time when we were in the Macon GA. we stopped and talked to be head of the DEP and showed them pictures of people polluting after someone complained about our company we knew it was a competitor. They looked at the pictures and then looked us in the eyes and said “we do not want any problems around here, you must be from somewhere else are you from California?” we said yes, we were from California, but that makes no difference, because you are not allowed to pollute anywhere in this country no matter where you are because the NPDES permits requires that you follow EPA laws. We could see how someone who would not stick up for their rights could get in serious problems there. We are the car wash guys and we do not put up with baloney. They left us alone after that, but when we went back two months later we noticed nothing had changed. What we witnessed was water running down the storm drain coming from detail shoos. One street had several shops on it. Not only was it a waste of water, but also a waste of money. We were also quite alarmed to see the employees of these companies using Acid for wheels and other chemicals on the driveways of these shops while it ran into the gutter down the street into the storm drain not even a quarter mile from the river. The gentleman we talk to appeared to be scared of us because we were from out-of-town and looked like we had our act together. He also looked over and fearful that we might cause a legal action, which we would have. After reading this article and thinking back to That Meeting and how our employee felt who worked for our franchisee at the time. It seems to me that there is a real problem in all small towns, but in Macon, Georgia it is even worse that we could have expected. ------------------ Cell phone ring tones in the news. Kids are going to beginning new cell phones, which have the capability of changing the ring tone of the person you're calling. Imagine for a second that your at a friends house in your other friend calls you and picks some really dumb Ring tone you have no way to control that the person calling you will. This is one of the new options being offered in the UK to teenagers. As it stands now you can take your Ring tone's and change them for who is calling, and if you have this new system; you will not be able to know who's calling in the can change the Ring tone will just another feature for today's teenager. -------------------- Just when you thought trucking was on a rebound; http://www.ttnews.com/members/topNews/0011022.html . Great truck drivers can drive more hours to make money in tough times and they get to pay more for the fuel they are using to drive the extra hours to make ends meet? Where does this end? Death? http://www.ttnews.com/members/topNews/0011024.html . How can they make up the difference? Hard to say, but we are raising our prices. http://www.truckwashguy.com/pricing.shtml . --------------------- Wing tip vortex arrays help learn more about turbulence http://www.acoustic-imaging.com/ and possibly using this turbulence to generate electricity; http://www.parthe.net/_cwg0803/00000072.htm --------------------- Here is an interesting article. And I believe it is correct because I have studied populations living at the bottom of glaciers and the water they drink is like mud, so full of minerals and the people there live over 100 years? Weird in a way. But also not really. http://www.watertechonline.com/news.asp?mode=4&N_ID=45426 I remember when I ran a lot, I needed to continually take electrolytes. This make sense. Our bodies have developed over the years to work on water and whatever is in it. And you know what since I have been on the road I never get sick and my water supply changes every where I go. So over the course of many states, I get many different minerals in different areas, also I am of many different races and genes and therefore can probably use most of this. Isn't it interesting that this study confirms what many have always said, meaning an R/O unit on your sink could be slowly killing you? And bottled water may cause serious problems? Only copper and Iron were significantly bad. Maybe it might be bad to live near a Copper Mine such as in Flagstaff, Bisbee, AZ or Butte, MT. Why do we say this? Because the ground water both below and above ground would have natural high amounts of copper in it. We have visited these places: http://www.carwashguys.com/tour_berkeley.shtml and http://www.tractorwashguys.com/tours5.shtml and http://www.tractorwashguys.com/mining.shtml and http://www.carwashguys.com/tour_butte.shtml . It looks as if the Heart needs the minerals and stuff very badly. Stress depletes such minerals in the body so there are things we all need to consider about this while watching the Post 9-11 Mass Media BS Hysteria. Often our crews drink water from the tanks on hot days others prefer bottled water, well it may appear it is just as good if not better to drink from the tank which came from the tap. ---------------------- DaimlerChrysler fesses up on their unintended accelerations which have plagued the car wash industry and killed many people and over 100 accidents at car washes: http://www.carwash.com/news.asp?mode=4&N_ID=45416 Also have told dealers to immediately stop selling Durangos. ------------------------- Well are we on edge or what? This is not funny, but it shows we are watching and that all citizens are looking out for each other and our water supply. http://www.watertechonline.com/news.asp?mode=4&N_ID=45431 We must protect the water because if we drink out of the tanks we want fresh water. ---------------------- Damn those women drivers…are great customers !!! http://4wheeldrive.about.com/cs/forwomenonly/a/womendrivers.htm ? Yes those damn women drivers who are our best customers you mean. ---------------------- Are computers assisting the fleet maintenance garages: COMPUTERS help county fleet manager keep tabs. In the old days we were to pour it on our weeds at home to kill weeds, I use to do that myself some 30 years ago. Then they wanted it collected and used it in asphalt and road construction. http://www.parthe.net/_oilchangeguys/0000001f.htm . Then they wanted us to collect it to re-fine it, good idea, now many are using it to heat their shops, even better, but how big is this problem? Well one article we ran across in our on-going study of these issues shows that much still needs to be done. We are doing a good job, but should do more: http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2004-01/acs-mo011404.php . In Canada they are making good progress, but also are wanting to continue their trend: http://www.parthe.net/_oilchangeguys/00000053.htm . Here are some good tips on the issue: http://www.parthe.net/_oilchangeguys/00000007.htm . Many get together each year on Earth Day to honor the Planet and come up with ways to better the situation. It is working. Many great accomplishments are being solved: http://www.parthe.net/_oilchangeguys/0000000c.htm and http://www.parthe.net/_oilchangeguys/00000033.htm . We must stay up on this as we set up the Oil Change Guys Franchise to make it number one: http://www.OilChangeGuys.com . ---------------------------- This might be interesting in that it points out an argument for capitalism, which you might want to consider when debating that all events are only about money in the leadership of our Nation. Being able to address these points will serve you well as you put forth your point of view. http://www.techcentralstation.com/011504A.html -------------------------------- The new CUV? What’s That? A Cross-over Utility Vehicle, some call it a Convertible Utility Vehicle. Just when you got use to the SUV this new hybrid has developed. The CUV. http://wardsauto.com/ar/auto_ford_freestyle_takes/index.htm . Mercedes calls these types of vehicles GST-Grand Sorts Tourer. Fine, just pay me so I can wash it already. I remember when Lexus started naming all their paint colors weird by luxury type names: For instance when I would ask someone what color their car was so I could find it in the parking lot to wash. They would say: Desert Beret Mahoganey? The damn car was basically “TAN” and they even said it with a French Accent to boot. The whole day the crew would laugh and “Messeur, Tit-tis Grand Des-seert Berrrr-aye Mo-hougue-goney.” Give me a break already. It basically means we are going to market to you a different vehicles type, something new and exciting so we can justify the $50,000.00 we are going to bend you over for? ---------------------------------- You crash your car, you car calls fire, ambulance and police for you. It appears so. http://www.infoworld.com/article/04/01/15/HNrfidsoccer_1.html . Which gives us an idea to use in Pre-paid Car Wash Tickets as well. Why because it is cheap, it makes sense and prevents cheating and it is cool and PR’able and very high tech, not to mention extremely trendy. And for fundraisers: http://www.carwashguys.com/fundraisers/ch3.html . See how we use these tickets to help the community. http://www.carwashguys.com/history/museum1.shtml . How big is RFID? Yah so did we, companies seem to think this is a new Buzz Word and I hear consultants trying to wow everyone with it. Here is the Consultants definition: Scalability The ability to expand the number of users or increase the capabilities of a computing solution users without making major changes to the systems or application software. ------------ Now we see people discussing Vertical Scalability, which means not much more: Vertical scalability is the ability to increase the capacity of existing hardware or software by adding resources - for example, adding processing power to a server to make it faster. On the other hand, horizontal scalability is the ability to connect multiple entities so that they work as a single logical unit. You can see that wish Wash Guys and the different modules we need to have both. --------------------------
