A gentleman who has previously done car care and auto detailing sincerely askes us; "Why should I Buy a mobile car care Franchise, When I can Start My Own Auto Detailing Business?" ------ I live in Chula Vista witch is in the South San Diego. I could purchase all of my equipment but what I am interested in is your franchise and what the pros of being in a franchise are. To be honest I could start on my own again and build my cliental back up, but like I said I here good things about being part of a franchise and would like to go in this way instead. As for financing or my capital that all depends on what packages you offer. -------------- Here is a sincere individual who is sincerely asking us 'Why Should he buy a franchise?' You see there are many other issues here really. One is if someone has to ask this then perhaps it needs to be asked why they do nto value experience of others? And why do they follow Jesus? After all in the Bible is much writing about his quotes and advice to all. Why not just figure life out yourself? We put forth this analogy, because it is interesting people ask us this? After all if they are confident that they can do it on their own, then why not just go out and do it? Some try to pick fight with us, while others almost seem to be questioning theirselves. Obviously we are not going to attempt to convince someone against their will, for they will be of the same opinion still. Right? And in a franchise we have to do business with them for many many years and if they will not listen to our advice and knowledge learned from real experience then why waste our breath? We cannot take such franchisees into our system. If they have all the answers or believe they do the conversation really is going to go no where and we would not anticipate having such a franchisee on our team, it just makes no sense. Here is our response. ----------- Pedro, We do not sell equipment, we have vendors build stuff to our specs. We do not make any money on such equipment, so the equipment issues are of no concern other than you need the reclaim equipment to handle the environmental issues and that you use things like Honda Power Equipment so it does not break down. Most of our specs are for image and brand name recognition and respect by customers. You appear to be wanting to start your own business and do it your way. So in fact you probably should. I am not sold on the Chula Vista area for a decent market. Lots of low end competition and price competitive and congested. Since you are of Hispanic decent judging by your name you should be able to hire the right crew to compete for price there. As for the pros of being in a franchise as opposed to not being in one. I think the best way to explain it is to show you. In other words in a competitive sense. For instance you start your business and we compete for the customers and then you can see the difference. This I believe is the best way to explain why there is a good reason to franchise as opposed to starting your own business. I hope that makes sense. Often people see this as a challenge and offer a few words of condemnation in hastful hostile rage and do what they are going to do anyway. Other stop and think about that for a minute. If you have been in business for 27 years and someone asked you why should I listen to you when I can start my own business, you would probably simply shake your head? "What on God's Earth are you asking, you cannot actually believe that you could do as well as us starting from scratch?" This is what goes through my mind as you say to yourself "Why do I need those guys?" It is merely a difference of opinion coming from different experiences of two people with very strong will. I am referring to you and me. It is unworthy of either of us to continue such a debate in that regard. We should simply enjoy the fact that we differ in opinion and that we are both successful individuals in the activities we choose. Does that make sense? ----------- http://www.DetailGuys.com Any thoughts to this on-going question in people's mind, email me at: Lance@carwashguys.com
