The Economy is Getting Better, Do Not Allow Media or False Leader Wannabe's Gloom and Doom Trick You. So is the Economy getting better? Absolutely, let me remind you fo the headlines in 2001 at this time: Lay off checklist; DaimlerChysler 26,000; Motorola 22,000; Nortel 20,000; Lucent 16,000; Erickson 15,300; Delphi 11,500; Verizon 10,000; Procter and Gamble 9,600; Cisco 8,500; Soletron 8,200; Honeywell 6,500; Recently Merrill Lynch gave 50 people notice in their Global Futures and Options Department. Conseco is cutting 1,000. NCR is cutting 600-700, Volvo Trucks are cutting another 400 jobs. This list represents the enough people to equal the size of Little Rock Arkansas. This was in March of 2001. Today things are obviously better than that, so as we hear that the economy is really bad in the media? Is it really? Things are obviously better, but the Democrats running for President would have you believe things awful, when actually they are much better than before. Even so, we are still going to allow for a $2,000 franchise fee discount off the cost of the $20,000 Franchise fee for those laid off from their previous employers. It is our way of helping in time of economic need. It is the least we can do to support the many of you who have been loyal customers through the years or would have been in the future as we dominate the Car Wash Industry.
