NEAR-AMPUTATION at local car wash seen on TV? Ouch? KESQ - Palm Desert, CA A worker at a valley car wash is recovering tonight, after getting his foot stuck in the conveyer belt of a car wash in Palm Desert. http://www.kesq.com/Global/story.asp?S=1696908&nav=9qrxLNqO This is not very funny? So much for lowered worker’s comp rates in CA for carwashes? Harv is a good guy to a real stand up gentlemen and has been in the business for 35 years or more. Literally a Car Wash Guru, very sorry to here this happened to one of our nicer competitors. http://www.carwashguys.com/0102702_1.shtml and http://www.carwashguys.com/stanmattes.shtml . As many of you know I am not a fan of conveyor systems at car washes, I think that old technology is wrong and a slap in the face to the latest and greatest robotics used in the auto sector. Car Washing has substantial revenues as an industry whole. There is no reason to be using faulty equipment that can cut off a leg or kill someone. Any comments and no as I told an attorney the other day, I will not be an expert witness fro some lawyer to sue a car wash. Lance@carwashguys.com
