As you know water is a main component of car washing, well at least currently. As technology changes and some places in the country the water gets scarce, things will have to change. For instance many cities have restrictions now one washing cars. Helena MT, Phoenix AZ, Riverside CA, San Diego Area CA, Las Vegas NV,Denver CO, Albuquerque NM, EL Paso TX and the list is much much larger with all the smaller towns and areas. But it is safe to say that the list will grow as time goes on. And some of the cities which have a three-tier drought level rating system in the level three or level one depending on which way they count, down or up, at the most severe point they limit commercial car washes even though they reclaim. And will most likely deny permits to build new car washes as well. Eventually if the supply gets too tight, they will be forced to close down car washes or only open for brief periods. Who will benefit from these situations? Well artificial lawn franchises? Yep they exist; http://www.franchising.org as well as Dry Wash-n-Guard Companies; http://www.Drywashnguard.com . We see issues ahead in many regions of the US for car washes; http://www.carwashguy.com and it is on everyone's mind too. Not just here but in the land down under too and in many other countries which have car washes and lots of automobiles which is pretty much over 141 countries world-wide. First water is to drink and personal hygiene, medical and food safety, then washing. So pay attention to the water supplies and learn to conserve as much as possible. Water is a big issue and it has a lot to do with car washing. Here are some thoughts on water supplies and uses and the needs we have for that natural resource: http://www.parthe.net/_cwg1003/00000014.htm . Meanwhile if you are thinking of getting into the car washing or detailing business, now would be a good time so you can establish yourself as a water conservationist and highly efficient water use business before such restrictions are imposed and close of the entry to competitors. http://www.DetailGuys.com and http://www.CarWashGuys.com .
