In this part we will continue our comparison of the options for those getting into the Oil Change Business byu way of fixed site facilities. ------- Oil Can Henry's http://www.oilcanhenry.com Based in Portland OR. They use Castrol and are an ace in the hole for Castrol who is competing for brand name midst many recent mergers. Franchise fee is 35K. 5 1/2 % franchise royalties are charged to operators. ----------- Lube Pros with 45 locations has been quite successful with franchisees. $25,000 franchise fee, royalties 5%. --------- Express Oil Change franchise fee $17,000 royalties 5% about standard. http://www.Expressoil.com We are quite impressed with the locations we have seen so far. ----- Mobile 1 Lube Express is pretty excellent. Http://www.exxonmobile.com You will have to check on the newest opportunities there on their web site. It seems to be quite difficult to keep track of these during this last round of mergers. --------- Oil Stop Inc. http://www.oilstopinc.com based in CA can you believe it? Outrageous state for franchise regulations. Franchise fee $35,000 royalties 5% which is okay. but they also have a tough clause on advertising, which is currently not being enforced. ----------- Indy Lube Express franchise fee of $10K, 5% royalties in year 2 forward, four percent first year. Which makes since for an operator, but not for the franchisor, since franchisees are twice as much work in the first year as during the rest of the contract. http://www.indylube.com --------- Of course there are so many Quick Lube choices maybe you should be thinking mobile and fleet care? http://www.oilchangeguys.com
