As an Auto Shop can you make money installing Black Boxes in cars? Maybe so. over 40 million cars on the road today have little black boxes which record data. --- http://www.thebostonchannel.com/automotive/2029412/detail.html --- As a matter of fact few Americans even realize they have these in their cars at all. What do they do? Record things such as speed, braking, airbag pressures, etc. Some do more than others. For the first time one of these boxes is being used by a lawyer to sue a crash victim. --- http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/news/front/3384756.htm --- Under normal circumstances you would not think twice about it, but now this is becoming an issue. http://www.roadsafety.com/ Let's say you do not like htis idea in your own car, how would you find the damn thing? Seniors are concerned. http://www.seniormag.com/headlines/blackboxcars.htm Maybe you can make money taking them out instead of installing them? Of course you cannot disconnect them under penalty of law if they also operate your air bag system and seatbelt verification ID. TRW has built a killer little black box. Still unconvinced? Well how about NASCAR, wannbe like them race cars, hmmm? Well all race cars have them now for safety and data. http://wildcat.arizona.edu/papers/95/3/01_91_m.html ---- And police cars have had them for years too: http://www.ananova.com/business/story/sm_379509.html?menu= Measuring speed, when lights were used braking, everything recorded on a daizy wheel paper similar looking to a siesmic reader. Trucking Industry uses them for safety too; http://fleetowner.com/ar/fleet_building_black_box/index.htm and guess who just might be willing to pay you to put this in? A concerned parent who has to pay the insurance of their Teen Age driver? http://www.techtv.com/news/culture/story/0,24195,3406178,00.html ----
