Well I can tell you from experience that the best employees are former military. They also make the best franchisees. Job wise militray personal work good in jobs which are regimented. An article in August 2003 of Light and Medium Truck news survyed former military retirees and honorable discharged and found they enjoyed working with vehicles and equipment. Zurich the largest insurance provider to the oil change industry found that shops run by former military personal were least likely to have serious accidnts involving injury or fires. This makes sense, because safety is a key to staying alive in tims of war. Last year 30% of all accidents occured in service vehicles, that includes 12,000 fatalities per year. of these accidents Military personal were over 80% on average less likely to be the caus of such an accident. For insurance purposes, efficiency, safety, you cannot beat former military personal as franchisees and independent business owners or managers of high volume facilities. You want it done right? Hire someone who has been doing it right all their lives. Just about every study we have sen proves that the data is right on the money. The shops make more the mobile oil change units run more efficiently and you have fewer accidents and fewer complaints by a factor of 80% and those are real numbers. Hard to argue a few percentage points when the numbrs ar so far extreme in the favor of former military. Any thoughts on this information, email me at Lance@carwashguys.com
